The science
Photobiomodulation, described honestly.
A well-studied field with real mechanisms and real limits. Here is what the parameters mean, so you can judge any device — including ours — on specification.
01
Wavelength
Red light around 660nm is absorbed near the surface, which is why it is used for skin and superficial tissue. Near-infrared around 850nm reaches further toward muscle and joints. Devices combining both cover more depth in a single session.
02
Irradiance
Irradiance is the power arriving per square centimetre at a given distance. Without it, a specification is incomplete. We publish measured irradiance at stated distances rather than peak diode output.
03
Dose
Dose is irradiance multiplied by time. Most protocols in the literature sit in a moderate range — more is not better, and long sessions at high irradiance offer no established advantage.
04
Consistency
Flicker, driver quality and thermal management decide whether output holds steady through a session. Our panels use constant-current, flicker-free drivers tested for stability under continuous use.

How we specify
A number is only useful with its distance.
Irradiance at the glass looks impressive and tells you nothing about a session at 15–30 cm. Every figure on our product pages is tied to the distance it was measured at, alongside LED count, beam angle, power draw and coverage area.
Lumora devices are general wellness products. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Speak to a clinician before use if you are pregnant, photosensitive, or taking photosensitising medication.
